GoPro or DJI...?
For the past couple of years I've been using the GoPro 8 and 10 and I've been really happy with them. Really happy, but with two different battery sizes and having broke the glass that covers the lens on the GoPro 10 last year - I started thinking about replacements. GoPro - or DJI...?
Besides the camera on my helmet, I've been about 360 cameras for a while. I also know that if I'd had a 360 camera on my last travels, the footage would have been incredible through Albania, so - I bought a DJI 360, and to replace my GoPro's I also bought the Action 5.
Why not buy another GoPro and maybe the Insta 360, as that's what many people seem to use..?
Well, a long story but last year I was using a Boya wireless microphone to record bits to camera - and it was truly awful. A complete waste of money so I knew I wanted another wireless microphone. The DJI wireless seems to be about the best - and because it automatically pairs with the DJI cameras - that was the deciding factor to buy the DJI cameras.
There were other factors, too. The batteries are interchangeable between the DJI 5 and the DJI 350, which is practical, and on top of that, the sensors on the Action 5 and the 360 are pretty good in low light, so that pretty much sealed the deal for me. Time will tell.
Together with the cameras, I also bought two mounts for the 360. One for handle bars and one for crash-bars. Should be fun.... 😉
