A few years ago I started travelling on my bike, and what began as short trips around Scotland and the UK became much bigger, and it was at this point that I started to record video of my travel. So why the videos? The reason I record video is the same reason this website exists:

• To remember where I’ve been
• To let my family and friends share in my travels.
• To encourage other bikers to load up their garage-queen and make their own journeys.

Its as simple as that. I don’t do it for YT followers, and certainly not the money. Turning YouTube into an income means making it into a job, and I don’t want to spend my time chasing views or feeding the algorithms. I just want to travel, to see new places, and to experience them with a camera in my hand, and not a deadline on my back.

These videos are not travelogues – so don’t get too excited, as I’m no Michael Palin. I’m just me. There’s usually a bit of chat at the start and the end of each video, even though I hate talking to the camera. The real point of each video is the journey itself: the roads and trails, the towns and cities, the hills and the mountain passes in-between.
