After my trip around the UK its been back to work and haven’t been on the V-Strom for over two weeks, mainly through work but also because of the dismal west-coast weather. Sad times, but waking up today the weather was glorious, with a warm temperature and a deep blue sky, so deciding to take a day off I headed for the hills.
I ended up riding north east around the Carron Valley, which is north of Glasgow and to the west of Falkirk – and what great roads. And the best bit is that there was very little traffic, which meant I had the bends all to myself…
It’s really satisfying and therapeutic how being out on the bike for a few hours can refresh your soul and invigorate and replenish your sanity. For the past two weeks its been work, work, work, and the weather hasn’t been too kind either, with lots of wind and rain, which is enough to make anyone miserable.
With an open road, lots of twisty bits and some glorious sunshine, the day couldn’t of been any better, and after a good day in the saddle I now feel fully repaired and rejuvenated for the week ahead.
